Fireclay
Hand made tile manufacturer based in California achieves 60% energy offset with new rooftop PV and ESS installation.
Fireclay Tile has been pursuing sustainable practices and elevating domestic manufacturing. Recognizing that their operations would pull a large amount of utility power which is becoming increasingly costly and that supporting a fossil fuel driven energy economy was inherently unsustainable, they decided to take action to ensure their new manufacturing facility would align with their values and do right by their surrounding community.
We worked together to identify the most economic and highest impact opportunities to reduce their utility energy needs and generate clean power on site. Following our recommendations, they chose to fill their rooftop with PV solar and invest in a battery energy storage system that would further offset their energy costs.
